Dae Yoon
Children's & Youth Pastor

Dae Yoon was born in South Korea and moved to the United States when he was six.  He has spent most of his life in Northern Virginia, and desires to see the area radically transformed for the sake of God’s Kingdom.

During high school, Dae was very involved in sports, and also excelled in the area of academia.  He furthered his education at college and pursued a degree in business for 2 and ½ years.  It was at this time when Dae felt a call of God on his life and took a year off to become the Christian Assembly youth intern.  He also taught algebra and US history at Summit Christian Academy throughout his internship.

That summer, Dae met the love of his life, Stephanie Dean, and the two of them realized that God had sovereignly brought them together for such a time as this.  It was clear to him that giving the best years of his life to the ministry was of extreme importance.  Dae and Stephanie got hitched, moved to Dothan, Alabama, and immediately became involved in a new church plant.  They assisted in the areas of youth, children, and young adults.  It wasn’t long, however, until God called them back to the Northern Virginia area.

Currently, Dae serves as a youth/children’s pastor (with his wife), and also oversees the media ministry at Christian Assembly.  He has a heart to raise up leaders in this generation, and to see young people grow into the men and women that God has called them to be.  Dae is a go-getter, a disciple-maker, and someone who’s not afraid to “get out of the box”.

He likes football, basketball, gummy snacks, and coca-cola.  Dae recently learned how to play the djembe and is enjoying being able to worship alongside of his wife.
